1. What is PROGESTAN (Microgest) and what is it used for?

PROGESTAN (Microgest) is a progestogen group product in soft capsule form, containing 200 mg of natural progesterone in one capsule. Each box contains 30 soft capsules. It is used in premenstrual syndrome, menstrual irregularities, premenopause and menopause, infertility treatment and miscarriage risk.

2. How to use PROGESTAN (Microgest) ?

Instructions for proper use and dose/frequency of administration

Always strictly follow your doctor's instructions when using PROGESTAN (Microgest). If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose is 1 capsule at bedtime or 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule at bedtime.

- It is recommended to take on a full stomach.

- It is recommended to take it at bedtime due to the risk of drowsiness.

If you use more PROGESTAN (Microgest) than you should

- If you have used more than you should use from PROGESTAN (Microgest), talk to a doctor or pharmacist.

3. What are the possible side effects?


Like all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the substances in the content of PROGESTAN (Microgest).

If any of the following occur, stop taking PROGESTAN (Microgest) and IMMEDIATELY inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department:

• Mass in the breast

• Abdominal pain, edema or softness

• Tremors or seizures,

• Migraine headache

• Short breathing or asthma

• Heart problems or kidney problems

• Abnormal bleeding from the vagina

• depression

• Pain in the calf or chest; sudden slowing of breathing; or arm, leg, heart or

coughing up blood, indicating possible clot formation in the lungs

• Severe headache, vomiting, dizziness, fainting, or trouble seeing or speaking

change; numbness or weakness in the arms or legs, indicating possible clot formation in the brain or eye

"These are all very serious side effects." You may need emergency medical attention or hospitalization.

"All of these very serious side effects are very rare."

If you notice any of the following, tell your doctor.

• Hypertension

• Confusion

• Insomnia

• Speech disorder

• Constipation

• Indigestion

• Stomach and intestinal inflammation

• Vomiting

• Earache

• Water accumulation in the body

• Vaginal inflammation and fungus

• Bronchitis

• Pharyngitis

• Acne

• Urinary tract infections

4. Things to consider before using PROGESTAN (Microgest)


DO NOT USE PROGESTAN (Microgest) in the following situations

- If you have a blood clot in a vein, a brain hemorrhage or if you have these in your history

- If you have severe liver failure

- If you have a known or suspected breast or genital organ tumor

- If you have unexplained vaginal bleeding

- If dead low status is detected

It should not be used together with drugs containing bromocriptine and aminoglutemide.

USE PROGESTAN (Microgest) CAREFULLY in the following cases:

- If you have a history of depression,

- If you have epilepsy, migraine, asthma or kidney dysfunction,

- It is recommended to take it at bedtime due to the risk of drowsiness.

Using PROGESTAN (Microgest) with food and drink

It is recommended to take it on a full stomach.

Pregnancy

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.

If you realize that you are pregnant during your treatment, consult your doctor immediately.

Breast-feeding

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Do not use this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
